SUMMARY:MUN Conference 
DESCRIPTION:The ESSBMUN Conference is Erasmus’ and Cedo Nulli’s very ow
 n MUN Conference. It is a newly organized MUN Conference we would like to
  make a name for the ESSBMUN as a prestigious\, international MUN Conferen
 ce. The conference provides a learning ground for students of the Erasmus 
 University and in the future maybe even students from outside Erasmus Univ
 ersity. Students get the opportunity to participate in debates\, improve p
 ublic speaking skills\, learn about diplomacy\, international relations an
 d politics\, and the United Nations by experiencing it. ESSBMUN challenges
  it students through two simulations: the Disarmament and International Se
 curity Committee (First Committee) of the United Nations General Assembly 
 (UNGA)\, and the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) of the Economic and So
 cial Council (ECOSOC). In the future\, we would like to challenge students
  to a greater extent by offering more simulations. The United Nations Gene
 ral Assembly of the ESSBMUN Conference of 2022 will be debating Privacy in
  the Digital Era\, the Economic and Social Council of the 2022nd Conferen
 ce will deal with Drugs Trafficking Organizations. The UNGA makes recommen
 dations concerning international issues to States. Among other rights\, th
 e General Assembly (GA) can initiate research\, discuss any topic relating
  to international peace and security and make recommendations (expect when
  the topic is under debate within the Security Council)\, and help maintai
 n international relationships for the purpose of cooperation\, internation
 al peace and security. Because of the extensive amount of items that pass 
 the GA\, the agenda of the GA is structured into the six Main Committees. 
 ESSBMUN Conference simulates the First Committee. The committees of the GA
  discuss the elements of their agenda\, and attempt to unify the different
  approaches of the States. They propose a draft resolution and decisions\,
  with their recommendations to the Plenary of the Assembly for a review an
 d operationalization. The committees process is overseen by the chair of t
 he committee. The chair of the First Committee is Omar Hilale from Morocco
 . The overall process is managed by Abdulla Shahid (Maldives)\, the Presid
 ent of the General Assembly. The First Committee is structured as follows:
  General debate Thematic discussions Action of drafts The Economic and Soc
 ial Council consists out of several types of commissions and bodies. The C
 ouncil is responsible for guiding and regulate the work of all these bodie
 s and commissions. ECOSOC is a fundamental part of the UN system\, as it f
 unction is to provide sustainable development for all three dimensions (ec
 onomic\, social\, environmental). It is the ground for debating\, innovati
 ve thinking\, creating harmony\, and achieving international settled goals
 . The Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) is founded to relieve workload fr
 om ECOSOC in managing of the operationalization of drug control treaties. 
 The agenda of the CND is structured into two parts: a regulating part “f
 or discharging treaty-based and normative functions\; and an operational s
 egment for exercising the role as the governing body of the UNODC.”
