We formed the new committee!
What will the committee do/learn?
With a team of six commissioners you will start in February and work towards the Career Week of December 2017. You will have a great amount of responsibility and you will have many opportunities to develop your skills. In this committee you will constantly be in contact with companies which is very useful for your own future career. Furthermore, you will learn a great many things in the area of teamwork, acquisition and representation. Altogether, you will get the opportunity to put your own mark on a big, professional event. You will also get a certificate of recognition by the Erasmus University on your diploma.
Who are we looking for?
Students of the faculty of Social Sciences who are motivated to spend 8-10 hours per week to organize this event. In particular, we are looking for candidates who have experience with sales, marketing, acquisition and organizing of events.
Different positions within the committee:
As Chairman you will be leading the committee. You will chair the meetings and prepare the agenda. As head of the organization of the week you will be the main responsible person for the Career Week. Together with the Commissioners of Commercial Relations you will actively approach companies for acquisition. Overall, you will keep track of the entire process and make sure that everything runs smoothly.
Commissioner of Commercial Relations
You will lead and coordinate the acquisition process. This means that you will do most of the acquisitions together with the other Commissioner of Commercial Relations, and you will guide the rest of the committee with their acquisition. You will make an acquisition plan and actively approach companies and persons.
As the Treasurer you will plan, allocate and keep watch of the budget. Also, you will do most of the acquisitions together with the other Commissioner of Commercial Relations, and you will guide the rest of the committee within their acquisition. You will make an acquisition plan and actively approach companies and persons.
As the Secretary you will be responsible for the administration and making minutes during the meetings. Furthermore you will support the Commissioners of Commercial Relations by approaching companies.
Commissioner of Marketing
The Commissioner of Marketing will be busy with the planning and execution of marketing and promotion of the event. You will be responsible for the image of the Career Week, so it is important to make a good marketing plan regarding promotion through social media and such. Furthermore you will help the Commissioner of Commercial Relations with acquisitions.
Commissioner of Non-commercial Relations
The Career Week will not only consist of people speaking on behalf of their company. There will also be inspirational speakers and skills workshops to improve the abilities of students of the Faculty of Social Sciences. As Commissioner of Non-commercial Relations you will be the one to approach such speakers and arrange these workshops.
